Description
Shed Stopper
Say hello to the Dog Grooming Shed Stopper. An amazing dog grooming deshedding tool that effectively deals with dead hair that has built up in the undercoats of short double coated dogs. Using fine stainless steel teeth to lift up pesky dead hair, with minimal effort being applied from the groomer.
Deshedding dogs with an undercoat is an essential activity for a dog’s health and wellbeing. Allowing dead hair to build up in the undercoat can lead to a variety of different issues including: reduced circulation, tangles/matting, skin infections and discomfort. That’s why having an effective dog grooming deshedding tool by your side is essential for all those who deal with the wellbeing of pets.
So let’s dive into the features that allow this shed stopper to do its job so well:
- Strong stainless steel teeth. Arguably the key element that makes this dog grooming deshedding tool so amazing at its job. The shed stopper features a row of tightly spaced stainless steel teeth. These teeth when combed through a dog’s undercoat effectively lift out 90% of the dead hair that has built up there.
- These teeth are short in length, making them perfect to reach into the undercoat of short coated dogs, without being so long as to poke or scratch the dog.
- This tool is made from a more sustainable beech wood material. This material, unlike the plastics used in a lot of dog grooming products, can be recycled at a number of different wood recycling centres across the country. Reducing this tool’s impact on the planet.
- This beech wood material whilst being sustainable, also serves as a strong and reliable base. Allowing this tool to survive and thrive in intense dog grooming environments where it is being used on a daily basis.
- This beech wood whilst being strong creates a comfortable handle. This handcrafted handle smoothly fits into your hand, being designed to reduce the risk of strains related to repetitive movements.
This dog grooming deshedding tool like the rest of the tools sold at Groomarts has been thoroughly tested at our dog grooming academy. Instructions For Use
1. Before beginning your pet deshedding session, we recommend you wash and dry your dog or cat’s coat.
If your pet’s coat has large knots or tangles, remove these first prior to bathing. Do not use this deshedding tool on a pet with a wet coat.
2. Get your pet and yourself ready in a space you don't mind some hair falling (we recommend outdoors or the bathroom)
3. Start brushing your pet, using smooth and even strokes. Brush in the direction of the coat growth. The weight of the brush should do the work for you so apply only a slight pressure while brushing. You will notice that a lot of hair is removed, which means less hair on your couch, carpet and floors!
No need to worry, however, because a good deshedding tool like this will remove all the loose undercoat without damaging your pet’s top coat.
